Knightsbridge School Education Foundation (KSEF)
Established
in 2007, KSEF is a registered charity which works closely with but entirely independent of Knightsbridge School (KS). The aims of KSEF are to:
- Develop and support the use of the resources and facilities of the School for the benefit of the community at large and through the provision of community based programmes.
- Assist in the building and development of further: facilities at the School's site and to assist with the procurement, development and use of ancillary facilities for sporting, artistic and other creative events for the benefit of the community generally.
- Provide scholarships and bursaries to pupils whose:
family financial circumstances would not otherwise enable them to attend
the school.
Currently, the Foundation support two charities in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
and awarded the first bursary in September 2011.
Knightsbridge School Education Foundation Awards
The Knightsbridge School Education Foundation
(KSEF) is offering at least one bursary or scholarship, up to 100% of fees, to
a boy or girl to attend Knightsbridge School in Year Seven from September2012
for two years until July 2014. The expectation is that the boy or girl will go
on to a senior independent school at the age of 13. This will be the second
KSEF Award and the Trustees are very keen that as many candidates as possible
apply.
There must be a strong case given of financial need and all prospective candidate families will be required to fill in a Means Test Form. It is very important that a successful candidate offers
excellence, skills and attributes which will help ensure that he or she can go
on to senior school.
KSEF is supporting already two charities in the Borough and expect that applicants for a KSEF Award will also come from the Borough, although candidates outside will be considered as well.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to contact the school to attend an Open Morning on Tuesday 8 November or Wednesday 9 November at 10.00am. Please contact the school to make an appointment to attend.
The deadline for applications is 11 December 2011.
Candidates will be invited to Knightsbridge School for an 8+ & 11+ Entry Test on 17th & 24th January. There will be tests in maths and English and there will be a non-verbal IQ Test, together with an interview.
Parents are asked to write to the school for further details and an application form.
